- Prepare patients for examinations and assist podiatrist during procedures.
- Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information in eClinicalWorks.
- Conduct x-ray procedures (if licensed), ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Clean exam rooms and restock supplies.
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Fit patients for shoe inserts and orthotics.
- Call patients to confirm appointments and remind of necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Medical assistant certification - X-ray certification (preferred) - Experience assisting a podiatrist or orthopaedist - Proficient in using electronic health record systems and medical software - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic pharmacology - Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care to patients - Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information and performing tasks - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information This is a full-time position with regular business hours Monday through Friday.
Clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and often Thursday.
Friday and sometimes Thursday are days for ABIs, fittings, chart prep, answering patient calls, sending prescriptions, cleaning and organizing, assisting with MIPS, assisting other positions, cross-training with other departments, etc.
while the podiatrist is out of the office.
Compensation begins at $15.
00 per hour, and we offer two weeks of paid vacation and 40 hours of flexible PTO to all full-time staff after 90 days of employment.
