Central Florida K-9 is looking for a full-time Assistant Kennel Manager.
CFK9 is a diverse and unique training- boarding-sport center located on 30 acres in Lake County, FL 8 minutes from the new Wekiva Parkway/429 Beltway Extension.
CFK9 specializes in training dogs in the following areas:
service, therapy, scent, tracking, sport and agility, police and military working dogs, civilian training classes/problem solving.

com Minimum Requirements:
? Must be at least 21 years of age.
? High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
? Must be willing to work days, nights, fill in for call outs, weekends and holidays.
? Must have at least 1 years of animal care and/or large kennel experience.
? Have a minimum of 3 years in Management.
? Management and/or Assistant Management Experience Assistant Kennel Manager Position Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Handle animals humanely, properly, and with compassion at all times, including those that may be sick or injured.
Provide general/advanced care and maintenance of all dogs in the kennel.
Weigh dogs, read slides, perform fecals, give injections, keep accurate records.
Working knowledge of dog first aid.
Employee scheduling.
Inventory control/ordering supplies.
Train employees on proper healthcare and cleaning procedures Sustain the general/advanced care and maintenance of dog kennels and other equipment required for daily tasks.
General maintenance of facilities and grounds.
Ensure each dog receives adequate breaks and exercise each day, monitor outdoor time.
Wash down and or pressure wash and or clean kennels daily.
Use cleaners and disinfectants with chemical agents per MSDS guidelines.
Handwash, spray with deodorizing spray and brush dogs as required for client check out.
Administer medication and treat/stabilize minor injuries and transport to K-9 ER or Vet's office as needed.
Monitor food and water intake and make changes as needed.
Groom, trim nails as needed.
Take appropriate measures to control and prevent the spread of disease.
Work closely with the trainers informing them on all dog's health and needs.
